The Tango Milonguero is characterized by its complete improvisation, does not require memorizing of predetermined choreographies, it requires sensitivity: in a close embrace, the dancers find each other and are connected to develop their dance, simply undertaking a “full trip” of emotions….
Mónica has not invented a dance method, but she has devised a teaching method that facilitates its understanding and incorporation without needing to remember complicated structures that would result in a mechanical dance.
She offers the elements so that the students are capable to feel that the development of the dance contains -among others things- the connection with the partner, with the music, the sensitivity to interpret, the elegance and smoothness when dancing.
Because it is based on the connection of the couple dancing, Mónica explains the fundamentals of tango, in a way so that the beginner student, will feel from the very first class that is able to lead or to follow – depending on whether is the “leader” or the “follower” -, while the advanced student, will be able to feel more comfortable when dancing because he/she will acquire elements with which to enrich his/her knowledge and will notice that his/her dance will become much smoother, more elegant and fluid.
